The Presbyterian Healthcare Services Hospital is now complete and University of New Mexico Health Services Center is under construction with their plans to erect hospitals in Rio Rancho. Although both healthcare providers projected 2011 opening dates at different sites, they projects have been delayed due to the recession and the financial crisis.
Presbyterian Healthcare Services announced it would construct a $200 million, 120 bed hospital on 66 acres on the northeast corners of Unser and Westside Boulevards. Upon completion of the first phase, the Presbyterian hospital will be 340,000 square feet and a four story medical office building will be 133,000 square feet.
The Presbyterian hospital is expected to create more than 600 jobs.
